Location: ACT

Location: Canberra ACT. (Hybrid arrangements may be accommodated but are not guaranteed.

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Shortterm contract approx. through to EOFY.

Pay rate: $87.88 $104.51 per hour plus 11.5 superannuation

Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline level security clearance.

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced EL2 to work as the Digital Services Compliance Officer responsible for assessing the agencys existing publicfacing digital services against the Digital Experience Policy and Digital Service and Digital Inclusion Standards. This is an opportunity to perform a comprehensive audit of the agencys digital publicfacing services identifying areas of noncompliance and recommendations to return a compliant result.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate publicfacing digital services for compliance against the Digital Service Standard Checklist and the Digital Inclusion Standard Checklist and/or otherwise instructed by the Digital Transformation Agency.
  • Identify existing services that do not meet compliance standards analyse and detail the standard criteria they do not meet providing reasons or barriers preventing compliance
  • Provide recommended actions for achieving compliance including exemption requests
  • Deliver a report outlining the agencys overall compliance status for its existing digital services
  • Recommend a best practice approach where the Digital Product Design Branch maintains oversight of exemption applications to support all ongoing and future agency reporting.

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated Ability of the requirements of the DTAs Digital Experience Policy and standards with particular focus on the criteria under the Digital Service Standard and Digital Inclusion Standard.
  • Demonstrated Capability in understanding usercentric design principles performance monitoring and accessibility and inclusion to ensure digital services are designed and maintained with the enduser as the focus.
  • Demonstrated Experience in performing a detailed audit of digital services to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Digital Service Standard and Digital Inclusion Standard.
  • Demonstrated Experience in identifying strategies/recommendations to align digital service compliance with the Digital Service Standard and Digital Inclusion Standard.
