Title:FreshmanGirls Volleyball Coach
Position Type:Supplemental
Reports to:Athletic Director
Qualifications:
- Experience in the designated sport
- Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certification
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- Van certification preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and instruct the girlsFreshman Volleyball team consisting of approximately 1015 studentathletes as head coach and assistant the coaches for the JV/Varsity team
- Conduct regular practices for team in conjunction with the head coach
- Coach studentathletes in a positive manner.
- Ensure the safety of all studentathletes during practices and competitions.
- Work with the head coach to develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels.
- Coaching will require six days per week including practices and meets. 1520 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
- Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.
- Assist with distribution and collection of uniforms.
- May perform other duties as directed by the head coach
Working Conditions
- Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
- Exposure to potentially dangerous and violent situations
- Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
- Regular requirement to sit stand walk talk hear see and read
- Regular requirement to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
