Job Details:
Job Purpose/Summary:
This Position is responsible for collecting and evaluating rooster semen evaluate and record data in a database.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Retrieval and meticulous processing of males to collect semen and inverting females to inseminate 50
- Replace males based on fertility numbers or mortality. Mistake check for hens and roosters. 10
- Inspection of females for evidence of production 10
- Utilize microscope/densimeter to determine semen quality; utilize visual to determine semen quantity 10
- Operation of Motility assay equipment and Microscope
- Evaluation of semen quality based on parameters like motility mobility density color and volume.
- Collect semen quality data using tablets laptops and scanners.
- Follow Cobbs best practices for rooster management and welfare.
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: N/A
Experience: Previous AI experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Must be able operate tablet. Experience with Excel.
Communication Skills: Must have good communication and listening skills.
Special Skills: N/A
Supervisory: Minimal
