Summary: Under general directionof health services staff and registered nurse incumbent(s) provides health care to students 0 19 of whom have been identified with specialized health care concerns and complex medical needs or recommended by the Superintendent or designee; dispenses medication; implements specialized health care protocols; responds to medical emergencies; treats accidents and illnesses; serves as a member of a management team to address the academic social psychological and medical needs of individual students; performs health screenings; maintains health records; ensures immunizations are current; provides referral information to families; provides information to students and families to promote wellness; and networks with community agencies and other medical professionals.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
