PRIMARY PURPOSE: The campus reading and/or math interventionist serves as part of the
schools leadership team: providing specialized instruction to identified struggling learners receiving services through the response to intervention process monitoring student progress through quantitative and qualitative measures and participating in Student Success Plan (SSP) meetings to provide recommendations regarding adjustments to student instructional plans. In addition to providing support in core areas of reading and/or math to students he/she will provide professional development and guidance for teachers to improve their knowledge of differentiating instructional strategies and monitoring/adjusting said practices to appropriately measure student progress in the classroom.

Minimum 3 years of credible teaching experience of relevant content areas.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problemsolving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Should be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decisionmaking. Frequent indistrict and occasional instate or national travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
