Job Description
We are currently seeking a professional and experienced CDL Driver to join our team at Waste Connections in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. As a Driver you will be responsible for safely operating a heavyduty truck and transporting waste materials to designated disposal sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Pay: $24.50
Hours: Monday Friday with rotating Saturdays. Start time is 4 am.
Job Requirements:
Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Must have manual and airbrakes endorsement.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Driver or in a similar role
Ability to operate a heavyduty truck and handle various waste materials
Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
Excellent driving skills and the ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces
Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job including lifting and moving heavy waste containers
Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow established safety procedures
Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers
Roles and Responsibilities:
Safely operate a heavyduty truck to transport waste materials to designated disposal sites
Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe operation
Secure waste containers properly on the truck to prevent spills or accidents during transportation
Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pickup of waste materials
Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself other drivers and pedestrians
Follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
Maintain accurate records of daily activities including mileage fuel consumption and any incidents or accidents
Report any mechanical issues or vehicle malfunctions to the appropriate personnel for repairs
