:59 PMCBC Toronto is looking for a fulltime Associate Producer/Technician for Ontario Morning CBCs morning radio show for much of southcentral Ontario.
The successful candidate is someone with experience working in the broadcasting industry has journalistic sensibilities and a drive to keep CBC at the forefront of broadcast technology all to ensure we can deliver our programming to audiences how when and where they want it. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in livetoair radio and be skilled in gathering and mixing audio elements for broadcast. The ideal candidate is adept at creating content for multiple platforms and demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Ontarios news and current affairs landscape is essential.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
University degree or graduation from a Community College and three years of practical and relevant experience.
Strong background in live and livetotape radio broadcast engineering.
Extensive experience with live audio mixing on a 25 channel studio console. Proficiency with the Studer On Air 3000 console or equivalent is essential.
Excellent technical aptitude including the ability to troubleshoot radio & audio transmissions.
Strong knowledge of Dalet and/or other nonlinear audio editors.
Innovative approach to programming and ideas. You are curious and incisive with strong critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of Ontarios news and current events. Understands stories that are of interest to Ontarians.
Open to diverse perspectives and ideas and differing points of view.
Enthusiastic team player with good communication skills.
Committed to promoting the values of diversity and an inclusive and respectful work culture.
High level of organization and productivity.
