Senior Accountant
Location: South Manchester
Salary: 4050k DOE
About the Role: We are representing a wellestablished accountancy practice in South Manchester seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced accountants aiming to advance their careers in a supportive and clientfocused environment.
Duties:
- Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting services.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review statutory accounts management accounts and financial statements in compliance with UK accounting standards.
- Taxation: Manage corporation tax computations VAT returns and personal tax matters ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Software Utilisation: Leverage accounting software such as Xero Sage and QuickBooks to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior staff providing guidance and fostering professional development.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve service delivery.
About You:
- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with a strong understanding of UK accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an accountancy practice environment demonstrating proficiency in managing client relationships and delivering comprehensive accounting services.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using accounting software particularly Xero and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to clients.
- ProblemSolving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
