Methodist University invites applications for a fulltime tenured or tenuretrack faculty (open rank) in Communication and Media program beginning in August 2025. We seek candidates who demonstrate an affinity for mentoring and teaching students oncampus and online bringing a dynamic studentcentered approach to a broad range of communication courses. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise and interest in content creation using Emerging Media Technologies.
Methodist Universitys Communication and Media Studies program offers a comprehensive undergraduate curriculum designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills across the various specializations within the discipline including media studies media production human communication and public relations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to studentcentered teaching and bring experience in both facetoface and online instruction with a strong emphasis on highimpact and innovative pedagogies committed to building student agency. There is opportunity to contribute to building and revising the curriculum with new courses aligning with professional interests as well as student needs.
