In data analysis at PwC you will focus on utilising advanced analytical techniques to extract insights from large datasets and drive datadriven decisionmaking. Required Skills: Successful candidates will have demonstrated the following skills and characteristics:
Must Have:
Extensive experience applying data science in the telecommunications industry across domains like customer churn ARPU analysis pricing network performance and service optimization
Proficiency in supervised and unsupervised ML techniques including classification regression clustering and timeseries forecasting
Expertise in statistical modeling (e.g. survival analysis logistic regression multivariate analysis)
Strong coding and data manipulation skills in Python PySpark and SQL
Experience building scalable machine learning models using libraries like scikitlearn XGBoost TensorFlow PyTorch
Familiarity with data sources and KPIs common in Telco such as CDRs usage metrics and quality of service indicators
Experience with data pipelines and engineering workflows for structured and unstructured telecom data
Proficiency in data visualization using tools like Power BI Tableau Looker
Nice to have:
Exposure to cloudbased ML platforms (Azure ML GCP Vertex AI AWS SageMaker)
Experience with network analytics anomaly detection or realtime streaming data
Familiarity with telecom OSS/BSS systems customer segmentation frameworks or revenue assurance analytics
Strong stakeholder management and experience interfacing with business marketing and network operations teams
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead data science projects within the telecom domain from problem definition and data acquisition to model deployment and impact tracking
Partner with client stakeholders to define KPIs model use cases and success metrics that align with strategic telecom objectives
Translate complex business problems into datadriven solutions and advise clients on customer analytics churn prediction pricing optimization and network quality insights
Guide teams in building advanced machine learning models tailored to telecom data structures and business logic
Communicate technical concepts clearly to executives and nontechnical stakeholders translating models into actionable business strategies
Oversee quality compliance and governance across all phases of model development and deployment
Build and mentor highperforming teams nurturing telecom domain knowledge and technical growth
Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership IP development and support for business development activities
