Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor hallways entrances and common areas to ensure student safety and compliance with school rules.
- Build rapport with students to encourage positive behavior and provide support when needed.
- Assist in deescalating conflicts or addressing safety concerns in a calm professional manner.
- Work closely with school staff to ensure a safe and orderly school environment.
- Support school arrival and dismissal procedures ensuring the safety of students during hightraffic times.
- Report any safety or security concerns to school administration promptly.
What Were Looking For:
- Previous experience working with students or in a securityrelated field is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- A commitment to creating a positive respectful and safe school environment.
- Physical ability to stand walk and supervise various areas of the school throughout the day.
- Meets Highly Qualified standards as defined by the Every Student Succeeds Act: Associates Degree preferredorHigh School diploma or general education degree with 60 hours college credit from an accredited collegeorpassing score on the ParaPro exam. Experience working with children.

Aide Hourly Pay Scale
The terms of employment detailed in this job description are based on full time employment during the school of employment adjusted for part time employees or individuals who are hired for less than an entire school year.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job evaluated annually according to Board Policy.
