Equans is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for the Skids & Modules Construction department in Hoboken who can develop mechanical solutions with a focus on our customers needs and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Zoom on the job:

  • you develop the mechanical engineering both conceptual and detailed of the skids and modules preparing specifications for subcontractors either internal or external based on the customers requirements and relevant legislation
  • you select suppliers and subcontractors according to established procedures
  • you organize engineering tasks to achieve objectives regarding quality time safety and cost
  • you are part of the project team and oversee the engineering and planning
  • you monitor and/or coordinate the work of internal/external subcontractors during various project phases from engineering to commissioning while adhering to the established specifications
  • when necessary you will actively participate in the FAT or commissioning of the skids and modules
  • you participate in HAZOP sessions and conduct or interpret risk assessments
  • you actively contribute to team dynamics by sharing knowledge with colleagues and fostering a positive work atmosphere

Do you possess the following qualities Click quickly on Apply!

  • you have a technical engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • a minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer is required
  • you have proven experience in industrial (skid) projects knowledge of mechanical systems and
  • structures and can read interpret prepare and translate P&IDs to mechanical drawings
  • you can work fluently with software such as Inventor and AutoCAD 3D
  • you have strong organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously; you proactively address issues
  • you are able to work independently but value collaboration and demonstrate active listening and empathy
  • you speak and write fluently in English and can understand Dutch or are willing to learn
