Job Description

Amazon is looking for a driven entrepreneurial and analytical Sr. Account Sales Representative to assist our team selling inbound freight to 3PLs and Amazon sellers The ideal candidate will be excited by partnering in launching a new startup from the beginning of its life cycle and will have familiarity leading sales generation with medium to large size customers.

Amazon Transportation Services is building systems and capabilities to ensure that shippers freight in the Amazon network (vendors suppliers sellers) is moved with the highest service and lowest possible costs. To meet this goal we are continually striving to innovate and provide bestinclass service levels. You will efficiently negotiate terms and close deals with external shippers. Internally you will work with functions that cut across the organization including legal technology marketing transportation and customer service to drive great customer experience for our program.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced innovative climate. You will communicate with senior stakeholders within the Amazon Leadership team as well as working with leaders at major companies to strengthen partner relations. The candidate is as comfortable working on strategy and design as they are rollingup their sleeves and working on implementation. They have demonstrated the ability to build customized innovative logistics solutions drive process improvement standardize procedures and negotiate effectively.

Key job responsibilities
Work with sellers thirdparty logistics providers 3PLs) and Freight Forwarders who ship inbound to Amazon to discover how we can better serve them.
Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities and provide key metrics and regular forecasts.
Ability to identify and drive revenue adoption and market segment share of our product
Manage numerous accounts concurrently & strategically ensuring customer satisfaction
Indepth knowledge and understanding of the logistics and transportation industry.
Build strong working relationships with shippers suppliers businesses and internal peers.
Negotiate with shippers on contract terms.
Engage with internal and external business teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve performance and service.
Earn trust of customers and recommend product solutions that fit their business needs.
Measure performance articulate rootcause analysis and link to specific improvement areas.
Assess program risks anticipate challenges and provide escalation management when necessary.
Meet or exceed targets for customer and/or feature spend adoption.
This job will require strong communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure and often ambiguous work environment.

3 years of business development partnership management or sourcing new business experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience in online advertising or hightech products/services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
