Job Summary:The Middle School Science Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging NGSSaligned science instruction to students in grades 6 through 8. The teacher will foster curiosity and critical thinking guiding students through scientific practices and crosscutting concepts in Life Earth/Space and Physical Science while integrating literacy technology and inquirybased learning in a studentcentered Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with the New Hampshire Science Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).Teach general science courses including Life Science Earth Science and Physical a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of and conduct handson lab activities and experiments with an emphasis on STEM and crosscurricular student progress regularly using formative and summative a safe respectful and inclusive classroom effectively with students parents and in team meetings professional development and school accurate records including grades attendance and technology (Google Classroom digital lab tools etc. to support instruction and student :Required:Bachelors degree in Science Education Biology Chemistry Earth Science Physics or related fieldValid New Hampshire Teaching Certification in Middle Grades Science (e.g. 58 Science K8 General Science or comparable endorsement)Familiarity with NGSS and current best practices in science instructionStrong classroom management and communication skills
