We are currently seeking a parttime 0.5 FTE) SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP) or SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who shares this vision and is excited to contribute to a vibrant childcentered and collaborative school Overview The SLP or SLPA at Hilltown is a vital member of the Student Services team supporting students in grades K8 in developing communication skills necessary for academic and social success. The ideal candidate values teamwork and communication and is passionate about supporting a diverse group of Qualifications (SLP or SLPA):For SLPs: Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology current MA license as an SLP and/or ASHA CCCSLP certificationFor SLPAs: Completion of an accredited SLPA program and current MA license as an SLPAExperience working with children in educational settingsPreferred Qualifications:2 years of experience in a schoolbased settingFamiliarity with IDEA IEP development and schoolbased service modelsExperience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and diverse speech/language needsPrimary Responsibilities:Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students with IEPs aligned with service delivery gridsConduct or assist with speech and language evaluations (SLPA under supervision of licensed SLP)Support students expressive/receptive language articulation fluency voice and social communication skillsCollaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to integrate communication goals into the classroomParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and service recommendationsMaintain accurate and timely documentation of services progress and communication with familiesCommunicate regularly with families and collaborate on strategies for home and schoolConsult with staff and participate in student support meetings to address communicationrelated needsAdditional Expectations:Attend and engage in faculty meetings student services meetings and relevant professional developmentMaintain appropriate licensure certifications and compliance with all regulatory standardsWork collaboratively with the Student Services team to provide coordinated inclusive support
