Job Description

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Technical Sales Engineer required for a leading manufacturer of CNC cutting tools.

The Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and increasing sales with key accounts across the East Coast of the United States including Rhode Island New Hampshire and Massachusetts. You will provide technical training on CNC cutting tools and attend exhibitions and tradeshows to network and promote products.

The Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Technical Sales Engineer will spend 70 of their time working remotely traveling to meet clients across the East Coast of the United States including Rhode Island New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The other 30 will be spent onsite at the main office located in Rhode Island where you will provide sales and technical support to the internal sales team.

This position is ideal for someone who has sold CNC Cutting Tools or similar products such as CNC Machine Tools CNC Machines Metrology or Subcontract Manufacturing or if you have used cutting tools in a technical position and are looking to move into a sales role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities and increase sales with key accounts across the East Coast of the United States including Rhode Island New Hampshire and Massachusetts
  • Provide technical training on CNC cutting tools to customers and offer technical solutions
  • Develop strong relationships with new and current clients
  • Provide quotations and manage a sales pipeline through a CRM system
  • Generate new business leads and follow up accordingly
  • Liaise with the internal sales team provide support and training on products where necessary
  • Attend trade shows exhibitions and other industry events to network and promote cutting tools
  • 70 meeting with customers 30 onsite in Rhode Island

Requirements:

  • Prior experience selling or using CNC cutting tools or similar products in the precision industry such as subcontract manufacturing CNC machine tools CNC machines Metrology
  • Drivers license
  • Technical background
  • Willingness to travel across the East Coast of the United States mainly Rhode Island New Hampshire and Massachusetts and travel to the main office in Rhode Island when not meeting with clients
