AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.
Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a handson electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. If you like to use apply your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems wed like to meet you. Your work will help to maintain one of the worlds largest information system infrastructures.
Key job responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineering Technician you will be responsible for ensuring that the preventive maintenance of sitecritical facility infrastructure is planned and executed to the highest standards in accordance to AWS procedures setting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a worldclass safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure.
This position requires frequent site interventions critical switching activities along with troubleshooting and fixing infrastructure issues. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands on capacity on Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) infrastructure such as diesel generators MV/LV switchgear UPSs PDUs Pumps AHUs fire detection systems and building automation systems.
On a daily basis you work semiautonomously in operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data center ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work. You draft update & maintain method statements standard operating procedures emergency response procedures preventive maintenance programs and all technical documentation pertaining to Operation department enabling the organization to delivering 100 uptime on all customer supporting infrastructure collaborating effectively with internal & external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS.

CFGS / FPII Electromechanical maintenance power plants electrical installations renewable energies.
Experience in data center engineering
Knowledge of data center capacity planning and reporting
Ability to draft accurate support procedures compile system documentation and issue tracking entries while taking full ownership of technical issues.
