Job Description

MADISON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT #38

TITLE: MAC Club Leader

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Prefer high school diploma or equivalent. (A copy will need to be provided.
  2. Prefer one year experience working with schoolage children in a group setting.
  3. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  4. Relate students parents and staff in a positive manner.
  5. Require Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (before start date).
  6. Require CPR and First Aid Certification.
  7. Complete a minimum of 18 hours of inservice credits in appropriate schoolage course work each year.
  8. Require proof of Mantoux TB test results (prior to first day of employment).

Job Goal:

To maintain and grow effective and efficient operation of the Madison School Districts Preschool / MAC program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Implement daily Club activities.
  2. Utilize instructional materials effectively to stimulate learning exploration and creativity.
  3. Maintain an environment which promotes cooperation learning and enjoyment.
  4. Establish and maintains standards of acceptable behavior using nonpunitive methods that supports childrens self esteem.
  5. Establish and maintains effective relationships with children parents and other staff members.
  6. Maintain and ensure safe student dropoff and pickup through the validation of the iPad pin numbers.
  7. Supervise childrens activities to ensure safety at all times.
  8. Assist in planning childrens daily activities.
  9. Perform clerical and cleanup duties.
  10. Attend all staff meetings and inservice training sessions.
  11. Relate to children staff and public in a positive manner.
  12. Understand and apply safety precautions as outlined in SDS (safety data sheets).
  13. Contribute to the team by accomplishing additional duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English as well as the ability to write routine correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively in English before groups of customer or employees.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations / issues. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and verbal form.

EVALUATION:

Performance evaluated by the Site Coordinator.

SUPERVISION:

Supervised by the Site Coordinator and Site Assistant Coordinator.

GRADE / SALARY SCHEDULE / LENGTH OF WORK YEAR:

$16.20$21.38 (DOE)

School Calendar plus 3 Days (summer optional)
