The Occupational Therapist is a specialist resource for Guide Dogs SA/NT working specifically within the vision sector for clients of all ages. This is a diverse role where you can tap into all your OT skills with an opportunity to gain experience and develop as a vision specialist.

About the role
You will have the opportunity to improve our clients quality of life and independence utilising a broad range of OT skills through effective home modifications recommendations equipment or assistive technology prescription and/or therapeutic interventions.
Working within a multidisciplinary team you will provide direct visionrelated services to our clients and the community including assessing planning implementing and reviewing programs for clients in hospital school home and community settings.
This position will suit a clinician looking to further their skills in the neurological/vision space within a diverse and collaborative friendly team. You will also have the opportunity to deliver education for a range of stakeholders.
Based in Adelaide with metro and regional travel required.
About you
As a passionate Occupational Therapist you are committed to providing best practice care to ensure our clients wellbeing. Your ability to design implement monitor and evaluate consumer focused vision rehabilitation programs by applying thorough and professional knowledge of allied health theories and methodologies is essential. Proficient in the use of a broad range of technology and a desire to continuously upskill and learn new technology is crucial to this role. The ability to prioritise and effectively manage your time is also required.
You will love being on the road each day providing care in clients homes and the community autonomously.
Applicants must also have:
Submitting and maintaining a South Australian Drivers Licence DHS Working with Children Check NDIS Workers screening is a requirement for the successful applicant.
In accordance with government guidelines clinicians in South Australia have a mandatory requirement to provide evidence and maintain Influenza Vaccination status.
