CorEvitas provides realworld evidence through syndicated registry data and analytics patient experience and insights as well as EMR and claims data in the UK. CorEvitas is helping biopharmaceutical companies demonstrate the significant value and differentiation of their products to clinicians patients payers and regulators.

TheDirector Commercial Financeis a key business support leader for CorEvitas and the Patient Advisory Service Division (PASD). This role will serve as a commercial finance partner to the PASD finance commercial and operation teams through indepth analysis and insight of cost and pricing trends pricing strategy and commercial term development for PASD clients and service offerings.

Provides expertise and strategic direction in the of operations and resourcing to optimize the overall team function and ensure high quality client deliverables are met on time and within budget. Ensures riskmitigation and successful preparation monitoring and delivery of financial analysis in support of commercial contract negotiations from bidding through contract completion. Provides overall leadership and guidance for the department and partners with executive leadership to facilitate achievement of company financial and commercial objectives strategic client relationship management effective fiscal stewardship and process design and . Acts as a subject matter expert driving operational efficiency innovation process improvement and a firstrate customer experience.

The role creates value by providing economic thinking in order to optimize commercial decisions and commercial term role will also work across functional teams to develop efficient processes and frameworks that help PASD leadership make informed decisions and implement strategic pricing initiatives. Success in this role requires the application of P&L and pricing analyses to assess operational and commercial performance and develop processes that influence organizational behavior.

This is a remote position for candidates located in the United States. Candidates located in EST time zone and/or specifically in the Wilmington NC or Raleigh NC locations are highly preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Commercial finance partner to CorEvitas to help develop commercial constructs and complete pricing analysis for strategic opportunities and partnerships
  • Interacts directly with potential and existing customers as key finance leader to establish new business and grow existing relationships
  • Work with CorEvitas and PASD finance commercial and operations teams to evaluate and adjust rates across service areas including methodology and competitive benchmarking
  • Partner with Legal and business development leaders and serve as the primary point of contact within finance for review of new sales opportunities and customer contracts for assessment of risks and impacts to billing and revenue recognition
  • Evaluate MSA terms and partnership pricing for CorEvitas including joint bids with other PPD or Thermo Fisher business units
  • Collaborate with finance commercial and operations to manage pricing strategy profit margin targets and discount approval processes by service area and segment
  • Work with PASD finance teams to develop service area standard costing and margin profiles
  • Coordinate with sales operations and finance to track and analyze commercial and financial metrics associated with proposals and authorizations
  • Work with FP&A to track actual project margin versus bid margin on an ongoing basis for projects and to help inform pricing strategies
  • Identify best practice approaches related to systems processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with partners both in the Finance organization and across the company to support customer relationships
  • Ensures organization produces quality deliverables across a portfolio of accounts which are competitively priced and meet corporate profitability standards
  • Manages staff which may include interviewing and selection job description preparation professional development goal setting performance management coaching and mentoring employee counseling and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration hiring corrective action and terminations. Reviews and approves time records expense reports requests for leave and overtime

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualifications
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • 5 years of management responsibility
  • MBA Degree (preferred but not required)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Experienced client negotiator with indepth knowledge of pricing terms
  • Proactive leader with strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to exercise judgment and decisionmaking; Supported by superior skills in financial research and analysis financial modeling and risk management
  • Ability lead and manage large project teams including a demonstrated track record of setting goals communicating plans monitoring progress and achieving results in a highperforming team environment
  • Proven business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational structures and environments
  • Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problemsolving skills (including research reporting and analytical skills)
  • Advanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
  • Strategic and creative thinking; Strong communications skills with storytelling approach to presentations
  • Proven ability to effectively delegate and balance work and deliver against competing demands

Salary Transparency

This is a salaried role that will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Compensation will be initially discussed during the screening period with actual compensation confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
