SUMMARY: The Spanish teacher is responsible for delivering the curriculum at various levels through an immersiontype classroom environment and assessing student learning. The teacher is also expected to maintain open communication with parents counselors and deans contribute to the mission and work of the World Language Department attend meetings for students and teachers attend to administrative duties and fulfill other responsibilities and duties as a member of the broader school community. Full time Spanish teachers at Newton North teach four classes at a variety of levels and at this time we are seeking applicants with diverse experiences and/or a willingness to diversify their experience.

Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a school environment during the school day however there may be occasions for afters chool meetings (ex: Back to School Night). Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function. Rarely absent or late unless the situation is of an emergency nature.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job the teacher is frequently required to walk stand sit talk and hear. The teacher is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The teacher must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building.
