Qualifications:
College hours high school diploma or GED
Five years of experience in the HVAC industry
Five years of experience with computerbased automation systems
Basic knowledge of Commissioning processes and Commissioning process delivery
Basic understanding of School District HVAC Lighting and Controls (preferred) Excellent organizational skills communication and time management skills Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work in a team environment. Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to work within deadlines manage frequent interruptions and multitask
Ability to communicate effectively with engineers contract entities governmental agencies and district staff
Proficient with or able to quickly learn systems and software used by the district
Proficient in using Windowsbased software including Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
Primary Purpose:
Provide continuous support analysis auditing and commissioning of building automation systems for the Director of Controls & Commissioning and department staff.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Equipment Used:
Laptop computers printers general hand tools commissioning test equipment data loggers digital voltmeters and ladders. Follow blueprints or engineering specifications to install diagnose repair and program HVAC equipment.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work within deadlines and handle frequent interruptions. Ability to handle busy times of communication. Maintain emotional control under stress. Working off ladders. Prolonged use of the computer. Districtwide travel; prolonged and irregular hours including nights weekends and shift changes as needed. May be required to assist other departments.
