Position Overview:
As an SSD Qualification and Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the reliability of nonvolatile memory systems. You will develop test methodologies analyze qualification data and implement bestinclass processes to enhance product performance and durability. This position involves working closely with internal and external collaborators to ensure outstanding quality standards in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement SSD reliability and qualification methodologies for data center applications.
Analyze system and component reliability data to assess product feasibility and risk.
Review and contribute to system product architecture to align with quality and reliability specifications.
Investigate qualification failures through electrical and mechanical failure analysis identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Collaborate with multifunctional teams including research and development to drive continuous improvements in system reliability.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree with 5 years or Ph.D. with 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Computer Engineering or related field.
Experience in product/device engineering system validation or reliability engineering in the semiconductor industry.
Strong analytical skills in statistical data analysis using Excel R or JMP.
Knowledge of NAND 2D & 3D) device physics reliability and endurance.
Ability to work independently and drive process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SSD firmware drivers and application development.
Familiarity with NVMe PCIe SAS and/or SATAbased product development or validation.
Experience with quality and reliability engineering methodologies.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as C C or Python.
Strong communication and technical leadership skills with the ability to engage with senior leadership.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this fulltime position is:
$95000.00 $200500.00Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional jobrelated factors including knowledge skills experience tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits discretionary bonuses and equity.
