As a senior advisor on the Carbon Advisory team the Vice President works directly with clients and is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of technical projects identifying market opportunities for our clients and providing tangible steps to bridge any gaps to cutting edge problems in carbon advisory services and GHG accounting. The Vice President Carbon Advisory provides carbon market regulatory and environmental commodity expertise as a commercial and technical resource for projects and is responsible for the quality and ontime delivery of projects with the support of the teams depth of expertise.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support business development including interpreting client needs into actionable scopes of work work breakdown schedules and associated budgets as needed.
  • Conduct life cycle assessment modeling and analysis for emerging technologies project types and low carbon fuels.
  • Conduct carbon offset quantification protocol evaluations and summaries for clients.
  • Conduct regulatory and programmatic reviews and evaluations to support client mandate deliveries.
  • Provide senior reviews for other projects and feedback to team members.
  • Support in the successful delivery of government engagement client mandates including carbon market protocol and programmatic development and revision scopes of work
  • Assess evaluate and advise clients on carbon market environmental commodity and regulatory opportunities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for firstofitskind projects leveraging innovative approaches for environmental impact accounting.

Knowledge Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum of seven 7 years of relevant experience engineering or a similar field.
  • Experience in carbon markets policies and regulations across a variety of jurisdictions.
  • Serviceoriented enjoys presenting complex information to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Project management experience.
  • Open minded creative problem solver analytical technically proficient in greenhouse gas quantification and management excellent time management.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of matters simultaneously.

The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location skills experience education and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Groups total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performancebased incentives discretionary bonuses as well as other perks and rewards.
