Under the direction of the Director of Risk Monitoring and Insights this role is accountable for leading the development of new and maintenance of existing reporting on the Canadian consumer credit portfolios. The role is an ideal fit for someone who thrives on tackling complex challenges and has the expertise to manage the development validation and documentation of new and preexisting reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do.
- Regularly connects work to BMOs purpose sets inspirational goals defines clear expected outcomes and ensures clear accountability for follow through.
- Leads the development and maintenance of the Canadian retail credit risk reporting framework and related operational procedures and processes.
- Leads code reviews to ensure correctness and that requirements are met.
- Leads initiatives to improve reporting processes and increase levels of automation.
- Designs develops and implements regular and adhoc reports to meet management and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Works with data owners to fulfill analytical needs.
- Ensures strong governance and effective controls across risk reporting activities in accordance with enterprise standards.
- Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and nonroutine.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of relevant experience and postsecondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expert in SAS and SQL.
- Competent in Python Linux scripting and Power Automate.
- Competent in usage of git.
- Experience of creating reports with Power BI an asset.
- Expert knowledge of risk management reporting.
- Expert knowledge of retail credit products.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert analytical and problemsolving skills.

The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location skills experience education and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Groups total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performancebased incentives discretionary bonuses as well as other perks and rewards.
