TITLE: Assistant Principal Stall Brook Elementary

POSITION SUMMARY:
Stall Brook Elementary School is seeking an Assistant Principal. The Assistant Principal at the Stall Brook Elementary School works in collaboration with the Principal to support the teaching and learning of students ensure the health and safety of the school community and foster a climate of the community. In addition the Assistant Principal has shared responsibility for supervision and evaluation facilitation of administrative and operational structures staffing scheduling MCAS administration leadership in the school as well as other duties assigned by the Principal.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & School Administration:

Provide visionary leadership to foster a supportive and inclusive school culture.
Oversee daily school operations ensuring a safe structured and positive learning environment.
Develop and implement school policies procedures and programs that align with legal regulations and best practices.
Supervise evaluate and support instructional staff to promote professional growth and student success.
Collaborate with district administrators and families to ensure seamless student support.
Observe and evaluate classroom instruction providing constructive feedback for growth.
Analyze student data to identify areas for improvement and professional development for staff.
Monitor student progress and achievement through assessments.
Hire supervise and evaluate school staff.
foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Student Support & Compliance:
Ensure that all students have access to highquality education.
Support the needs of diverse student populations.
Oversee the development implementation and compliance of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Ensure adherence to state and federal special education laws including IDEA and Section 504.
Implement and monitor student support services including but not limited to counseling and special education.
Monitor behavioral support plans and crisis intervention strategies.

School Management & Operations:
Manage school budgets resources and facilities effectively.
Implement district policies and develop/implement school practices and procedures.
Oversee student attendance safety and discipline.
Create and maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Curriculum & Instruction:
Guide the implementation of specialized instructional strategies that meet early childhood student needs.
Monitor and evaluate student progress ensuring datadriven decisionmaking for individualized support.
Lead professional development to enhance staff skills in early childhood teaching approaches.
Support transition planning for students moving between elementary and memorial school towards the end of each school

year.
Support students and families entering preschool and/or elementary school with a welcome and informational approach.
Organize MCAS testing annually to meet regulatory requirements.

Community & Family Engagement:
Foster strong relationships with families advocating for student success and wellbeing.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding student progress school initiatives and policies.
Represent the school in community events and meetings.

Crisis Management & Behavioral Support:
Implement crisis intervention strategies and deescalation techniques in collaboration with staff.
Ensure staff are trained in traumasensitive approaches and restorative practices.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students with behavioral and emotional challenges.

SKILLS/ABILITY:
Candidates should have evidence of instructional leadership potential that includes the following:

Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate methods for communication interaction and intervention

with students and families.
Knowledge of culturally responsive teaching practices and the ability to develop a culturally proficient environment for

students staff families and guests.
Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy.
Understanding of differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and conflicting time constraints.
Ability to engage in selfevaluation and ongoing professional reflection about leadership performance and professional

growth.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a high degree of diplomacy in responding to and resolving issues in a

highly professional manner.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES and/or DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must hold DESE Licensure as an Elementary Principal/Assistant Principal
2. Must hold DESE Licensure as SEI Administrator Endorsement
3. A masters degree from an accredited college or university.
4. At least five years of successful classroom teaching experience.

START DATE: July 1 2025

CLASSIFICATION: Singleton

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 of the time.
2. This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
