About Team
AAD team aids businesses in Thermo Fisher Scientific with AI Automation and Data solutions for efficiency and insights.
What You Will Do:
Develop and implement secure scalable data solutions using AWS and Databricks ensuring flawless integration across enterprise data layers. Establish data governance and security standard methodologies lead adoption of cloudbased architectures and collaborate with teams to drive innovation in data integration and selfservice analytics.
How You Will Get Here:
- BS/MS in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- 15 or more years of industry experience in data architecture data engineering or cloudbased data solutions.
- 6 or more years of demonstrated ability in solutions including AWS S3 Redshift Glue Lambda EMR Kinesis Athena PySpark Python and SQL for data processing ETL/ELT data transformation
- Good experience in Databricks building scalable data pipelines optimizing Delta Lake storage and implementing security controls.
- Expertise in AWS services cloud security standard processes IAM roles and policies encryption strategies and compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR HIPAA).
- Experience in working on initiatives related to AI and Data
- Good knowledge of data governance frameworks including AWS Lake Formation Unity Catalog and data lineage tracking.
- Proficiency in CI/CD practices for data solutions using Github GHA and Terraform.
- Experience implementing realtime and batch data processing solutions using Kafka Kinesis or Spark Streaming.
- Strong problemsolving skills with experience in debugging performance tuning and cost optimization in cloud environments.
NonTechnical Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence technical decisions and guide teams toward scalable data solutions.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to translate sophisticated technical concepts into businessaligned solutions.
- Proven ability to work crossfunctionally with collaborators across IT business and security teams.
- Experience in writing technical documentation architecture diagrams and standard methodology guides.
- Passion for continuous learning innovation and staying ahead of evolving cloud and data technologies.
