Assembly Team Leader
Salary: 40k45k
Location: Hailsham

Hours: Full Time MonFri

Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent

Syntech Recruitment are currently working with this high end client who are looking to expand their team and recruit for an Assembly Team Leader. You will bring a high level of experience within mechanical assembly along with leadership and coaching abilities.

Assembly Team Leader Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead the team
  • To ensure customer requirements are satisfied by identifying and dealing with the abnormalities.
  • To monitor and manage the team in terms of attendance work rate and general attitude
  • Assist in setting the teams targets
  • Contribute to the daily team meetings to communicate to the team all relevant performance indicators targets and required countermeasures.
  • To be responsible for the upkeep of all Visual Management including standard work documentation the QDIP board the production target board and the cell team board.
  • To contribute to and help drive the teams improvement with respect to CI problem solving Kaizen 5S and engineering changes.
  • Take charge of manufacturing systems and ensure that all documentation labelling visual management training spc etc. is kept uptodate.
  • To ensure a smooth daily startup/change over.
  • Encourage a 5Ss environment and ensure all cleaning and TPM schedule activities within the cell are completed.
  • Ensure all works orders are completed correctly.

Requirements:

  • Experience in low batch tolerance workshop environment
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Handson approach to leading the team and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • High level of organisational skills
