Job Description

Prospect Hill Academy Charter School is looking for a qualified Grade 1 teacher to provide math and literacy support to a small group of rising 1st graders (about 10 students) in our July Summer Learning Program.The student program will run from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm Monday Thursday from July 7 July 31. Teacher hours will be from 7:50 am to 1:00 pm (planning time included). The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering effective math and literacy instruction for a group of 10 students over the course of the morning with the support of an associate teacher. The teacher will also run a homeroom daily from 8:008:30 am including a brief morning meeting and will oversee snack lunch and dismissal routines. Orientation dates:

2 90minute virtual sessions June dates TBD
1 Inperson session 8:00 3:30 June 23rd

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated track record of effective small group math and literacy instruction
Ability to analyze student learning data collected from daily instructional work in order to monitor progress and adapt teaching
Ability to develop positive and supportive relationships with students
Ability to communicate with families about progress
Understanding of the relevant literacy and math standards and practices and their connection to standards in previous grade levels

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the FOCUS on Early Learning Curriculum

Salary: $ 50 Per Hour
