Primary Purpose of Position:
The NC Museum of Art is seeking an enthusiastic individual to be part of our team! The Manager of Visitor and Volunteer Experience provides first line of interaction between the Museum volunteers and visitors. Position serves as a customer relations representative for visitors addressing unexpected changes requests and unusual circumstances as they arise. In addition this role is responsible for all volunteer relations engagement and retention efforts.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The North Carolina Museum of Artis a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. The statutory purpose of the museum is to acquire preserve and exhibit works of art for the education and enjoyment of the people of the State and to conduct programs of education research and publication designed to encourage an interest in and an appreciation of art on the part of the people of the state. The states art collection spans more than 5000 years from ancient Egypt to the present making it one of the premier art museums in the Southeast. With a 164acre campus the museum also has the distinction of being the nations largest art museum park with an extensive trail system that connects to the 63mile Capital Area Greenway through the City of Raleigh. Facilities located within the park include two main museum buildings a large outdoor performing arts facility/amphitheater parking lots bike trails and greenways.

Veterans and National Guard Preference
Applicants seeking Veterans Preference must attach a DD Form 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty along with the state application.
Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach an NGB 23A (RPAS) along with the state application if they are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing.
Applicants who are former member of either the NC Army National Guard or the NC Air National Guard with honorable discharge and six years of creditable service must attach a copy of the DD 256 or NGB 22 along with the state application.
