Job Description
Job Overview: Wakefield Public Schools is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers. As a Substitute Teacher you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity and providing quality education in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Responsibilities:
- Classroom Management: Effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment conducive to student engagement and success.
- Instructional Delivery: Implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher ensuring that learning objectives are met and educational standards are maintained.
- Adaptability: Be adaptable to different grade levels subjects and classroom settings demonstrating flexibility in accommodating diverse teaching styles and student needs.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with school staff administrators and students to ensure a smooth transition for both the teacher and students.
- Supervision: Oversee students during class hours ensuring their safety and wellbeing while following school policies and procedures.
- Professionalism: Uphold a high level of professionalism demonstrating punctuality reliability and a commitment to promoting a positive school culture.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degreeor a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments and grade levels.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
