Theemployeecollaborateswithteacherstoeffectivelyimplementinstructionalstrategiesand classroommanagementandassessmenttechniquestoensurestudentachievement. CollaboratesattheschoollevelwiththeESOL teacher to support students and improve student achievement.
EducationandExperience
Bachelorsdegreeorhigherfromaregionallyaccreditedcollegeor university
Threeyears ofsuccessfulclassroomteaching experiencepreferred
CertificationandLicensureRequirements(ifapplicable):
EssentialFunctions/TypicalTasks
SupportandworkwithESOL teacher to assist with instruction of EL identified students
Assist English Language Identified children aged kindergarten through high school in development of reading writing speaking and listening as well as academic vocabulary
Engageinacademicactivitieswithselectstudentsinoneononeorsmallgroup. Utilizeassessmentinformationbeforeduringandafterinstructiontoguide instructionaldesign.
Assistinanalyzingdatarelativetotheimpactonactivitiesandstudentachievement. Maintainconfidentialityofdataandinformation.
KnowledgeSkillsandAbilities

PhysicalRequirements
Mustbeabletophysicallyperformthebasiclifeoperationalfunctionsofclimbing balancingstoopingkneelingcrouchingcrawlingreachingstandingwalkingpushing liftinggraspingtalkinghearingandrepetitivemotions.
Mustbeabletoperformmediumworkexertingupto50poundsofforceoccasionally and/orupto20poundsofforcefrequentlyand/orupto10poundsofforceconstantly toliftobjects.
Mustpossessthevisualacuitytooperaterequiredofficeequipmentandinspectwork foraccuracythoroughnessandadherencetoworkstandardsandinstructions.
