Position Overview:
Term: 3 months with potential for direct hire
Location: Libertyville IL
Pay: $4050/hr
Hours: Standard Business
We are seeking a skilled Windows 11 Migration Engineer to lead and execute the planning deployment and support of Windows 11 across our organization. This role involves working closely with IT teams and end users to ensure a smooth transition from previous Windows versions to Windows 11 with minimal disruption to business operations.
What youll do as the Windows 11 Migration Engineer:

Lead the endtoend Windows 11 migration process including assessment planning testing deployment and postmigration support.
Evaluate current hardware and software compatibility with Windows 11. Coordinate with asset management teams for hardware upgrades or replacements if necessary.
Work with application owners to test and validate applications for compatibility.
Repackage and deploy applications using tools such as SCCM Intune or other endpoint management systems.
Develop test and deploy Windows 11 images using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Ensure user profiles and data are securely migrated using tools like USMT or thirdparty solutions.
Provide Tier 2/3 support during and after the migration. Troubleshoot deployment issues and resolve compatibility or performance problems.
Maintain clear documentation of processes checklists and outcomes. Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders.
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience with Windows OS deployment and upgrades (preferably Win10/Win11.
- Handson experience with Microsoft SCCM
- Familiarity with scripting tools for automation and task .
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of Windows OS internals driver management imaging and deployment strategies.
- Experience with user data migration tools and techniques.
- Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- CompTIA A / Network / Security
- ITIL Foundation
