Summary:
This role is responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a continuous improvement culture in site operations. The specialist coaches and mentors in PPI tools and techniques increasing the sites continuous improvement capacity and engagement. This individual will work closely with the Value Stream Leadership Teams and Engineering Team to identify and prioritize PPI initiatives that are aligned with Site business objectives.
What will you do
- Partner with Value Stream Leadership and Engineering Team to ensure there is an active pipeline of PPI projects aligned to business priorities metrics and results.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve continuous improvement processes practices and results.
- Ensure PPI projects accurately identify root cause and/or systemic issues and resolve issues using effective countermeasures.
- Partner with Operations to ensure solutions are successfully implemented and are delivering intended results. Take appropriate countermeasures as needed if results are not as expected.
- Educate site employees on PPI Business System theory and application through project work individual mentoring formal classroom training and other methods as beneficial.
- Performs all job duties in a safe manner consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4I Values and follows all ISO standards Company and site policies and guidelines and regulatory or statutory requirements.
- Analyze existing operations and propose improvements. Study people machine & equipment capacity and determine & implement actions to improve productivity by optimizing the use of floor space materials personnel and equipment. Perform complex capacity analyses in a mixed model environment.
- Lead / Participate Kaizen events to establish optimal manufacturing processes methods and procedures to assure quality and cost effectiveness.
- Provide technical assistance and expertise to manufacturing in problematic situations striving for data driven process improvements implementing corrective action and training as required.
- Evaluate recommend and participate in selection of equipment for secondary operations assembly packing and material handling operations. Prepare Capital Appropriation Request for related projects.
- Collaborate with Lean PPI Teams helping as required for implementation of 5S Leadtime reduction onepiece flow optimum plant layout etc.
- Support Practical Process Improvements (PPI) and Cost Improvement Projects (CIP) as a regular practice in daytoday operations.
- Assist in planning new facilities and operations.
- Provide information and recommendations for various management systems
How will you get there
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Related Field is required.
Experience:
- Quality process and manufacturing investigation and technical writing experience is desired
Equivalency:
Equivalent combinations of education training and relevant work experience may be considered.
Competencies: Incumbent must be able to understand cGMPs requirements. Must have sound problem solving skills and good verbal/ written communication skills. Experience writing technical reports is desired. Must be able to manage and prioritize daily tasks with minimal supervision. Must be capable of using Microsoft Office Word Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to learn and navigate through investigation quality and ERP systems.. Must have independent decision making capability and ability to think conceptually and understand impact of decisions. Expected be hard working and productive in an autonomous environment. Very good conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Good organization skills resulting in the ability to be selfdirected and manage multiple projects. Emerging leadership and mentoring skills. Expected to have respectful interactions with individuals with diverse views or backgrounds. Have flexibility to work various shifts times if needed to complete work content.
Physical Requirements:
Able to enter into production areas (PPE required) to support quality investigations and time studies.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $75800.00$113675.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
