Job Description
Position Overview
Teachers will guide 4th and 5th grade students through a STEMbased curriculum. Teachers will implement learning experiences in collaboration with the Science department and PROPEL & Level Up. Teachers will facilitate the learning of students using inquirybased learning techniques. Teachers will facilitate two 2 hour STEM courses per day for a twoweek PROPEL STEM Camp. Teachers will have an opportunity to select and teach courses based on a curriculum provided by the program.
Primary Responsibilities
- Promote healthy academic behaviors in children in a developmentally appropriate manner.
- Establish a safe and supportive environment that is conducive to learning and enables students to demonstrate agency ownership and reflection.
- Facilitate students utilizing the inquirybased learning model.
- Mentor and work with student counselors.
- Support and participate in the professional learning community to deepen the understanding of the curriculum content and competencies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students peers administrators and parents.

Organizational Relationship
This parttime hourly position reports to the Propel/STEM Supervisor
Professional Development
Required training will take place on June 24 and June 25 2025 from 8:30 AM 3:30 PM at Seneca Ridge Middle School.

This is a parttime nonbenefited hourly position. No guarantee of minimum hours.

Salary Scale: Band Rates Band 15 $39.14/hourly
