Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Developer Relations Manager to join our team in Bangalore India. In this pivotal role youll spearhead our developer engagement efforts across the region driving adoption of AWS services and fostering a thriving developer ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities
As the Developer Relations Manager you will serve as the Single Threaded Leader (STL) of a multidisciplinary team spearheading developer engagement strategies that align with both regional and global objectives. Your role combines strategic leadership crossfunctional collaboration and a deep understanding of local developer ecosystems to drive impactful initiatives across community building marketing and technical advocacy. Key responsibilities include:

* Leading and mentoring a diverse team of Community Managers Field Developer Marketing Managers and Developer Advocates
* Crafting and executing comprehensive developer engagement strategies tailored to regional needs
* Collaborating closely with global and regional developer relations leadership sales leadership field marketing teams and crossfunctional partners
* Overseeing community engagement efforts and guiding localized marketing campaigns
* Recruiting top talent establishing KPIs and representing AWS as a thought leader in developer engagement

A day in the life
You might start your day as a DevRel Manager with a team strategy session followed by a call with regional marketing leadership to align developer engagement with market priorities. You might then review metrics from recent events and campaigns preparing insights for regional and global leadership. After potentially mentoring a team member you could collaborate with product teams sharing developer feedback to influence AWS services. Your day might end by participating in a local developer meetup gathering firsthand community insights. Throughout youd balance strategic planning team leadership crossfunctional collaboration and community engagement focusing on enhancing developer experience and AWS adoption.

The Developer Experience teams mission is to explore the future of development so that we can help developers navigate a path to that future. Our goal is to inspire developers around the world. We show them how to practically use new technologies to build efficiently in the cloud. We show them new things they are now able to achieve both in tackling more complex cloud problems and building new solutions that leverage generative AI. We earn trust with developers by being authentic and by being practitioners ourselves. We are on an exciting journey together and not everything is solved yet.

* 8 years of handson technical experience (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics)
* 2 years in a customerfacing or developer community facing role
* 5 years of experience in people management and leading cross functional teams
* Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and the developer ecosystem
* Excellent communication and public speaking skills with experience delivering technical content to developers of varied backgrounds

* Experience working in a global technology company preferably in cloud computing or developer tools
* Track record of building and nurturing developer communities
* Proven ability to influence without direct authority across multiple stakeholders
* Datadriven approach to decision making and strategy development
* Familiarity with the Indian tech ecosystem and developer landscape
* Willingness to travel as required
