Job Summary: |
As the HR Operations Analyst youll play a pivotal role in our Human Resources team supporting various functional areas such as performance management operations/onboarding and benefits administration. Reporting to the HR Manager youll act as a liaison between ADOAShared Services and the agencies we support ensuring seamless personnel administration for over 40 agencies boards and commissions. We are seeking someone who is looking to further develop their career in Human Resources by being surrounded by HR Professionals who are willing to share knowledge and expertise. By taking this role you will get onthejob experience build relationships with HR departments around the State and develop your HR skill set in an HR Generalist role.

In addition expanding your HR Generalist skill set you will also be eligible to further develop your experience in Human Resources by:
- Attending the HR Academy this is an awardwinning program designed and delivered by ADOAHRD and is meant to further develop HR professionals across the State.
- Participating in various Communities of Practices which focus on a variety of HR disciplines including; Recruiting Employee Relations FMLA/ADA Predictive Index and Classification and Compensation in order to learn about State HR procedures and processes.
- Engaging in oneonone coaching with the HR Manager to help develop HR skill sets.
- Learning about HR from the perspective of a centralized HR approach as ADOA is the central hub for all State Agencies covered under the State Personnel System (SPS).

All work including remote work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
Job Duties: |
- Maintain human resources information system (HRIS) records. Provide daytoday administrative support for area of assignment; answers general HR inbox inquiries coordinates with the HRIS Service Desk troubleshoots and route service tickets as appropriate initiates prepares and enter personnel action forms (PAFs) into HRIS (AZ360 audits and corrects personnel actions. Prepare data and reports for HR Manager and CHRO as requested.
- Provides training and instructions to HR Liaisons in HRIS (AZ360. Acts as SME and conducts training related to AZ360 operations. Manages unit projects collects performance metrics generates adhoc HR reports authors standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implements LEAN initiative. Acts as administrator and/or proxy for multiple HR systems including AZPerforms! MAP ASRS Equifax and ServiceNow.
- Oversees onboarding process conducts new employee orientation completes I9 verifications coordinates employee fingerprinting badging and first day arrival. Pulls new hire paperwork from Equifx Compliance Center to be included in personnel files. Conducts offboarding process entering separations in HRIS and providing separation information to employees.
- Assist with benefits administration including enrollment change reporting answering questions and employee communications. Reviews and approves Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) requests. Enters RASL requests and actions in HRIS. Process requests for annual leave carry over. Reviews and routes documents for executive level appointments special assignment extensions and administrative leave extensions.
- Assists in FMLA administration and serves as backup. Intakes FMLA requests prepares letters and packets for FMLA requests reviews eligibility requirements in HRIS (AZ360 creates pending HRIS actions uploads longterm disability packets to ASRS and coordinates with Leave and Benefits Consultant to support ongoing cases. Pulls FMLA reports (including under 30 report unpaid premium benefits) and coordinate with Consultant when communicating with employee.
- Interprets and applies HR rules policies and procedures; prepares letters memos and communications attends meetings and trainings relevant to area of assignment travels on State business and serves as backup to unit staff. Assist in human resources policy/program implementation.

Selective Preference(s): |
Any combination of training and experience that meet the knowledge skills and abilities (KSAs)
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or closely related field
- Two years experience as a Human Resources Analyst or equivalent experience such as HR Assistant Specialist or Generalist
- Relevant HR Certification
- Interest in progressing in the field of Human Resources as a longterm career goal
