About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Learning and Development Specialist who is ready to hit the ground runningand drive impactful learning initiatives across the institution. This role requires an independent strategic thinker with exceptional partnershipbuilding and communication skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with leadership HR and various departments to design and implement customized learning and development programs that enhance employee performance and align with the universitys mission.

Key Responsibilities
- Learning Strategy & Program Development:
- Design develop and implement customized learning programs based on organizational needs.
- Partner with HR department heads and leadership to create strategic training solutions.
- Utilize modern learning technologies and methodologies to enhance employee development.
- Facilitation & Training :
- Conduct engaging instructorled training (ILT) virtual training and blended learning experiences.
- Provide coaching and development resources for faculty and staff.
- Ensure training materials are engaging uptodate and aligned with best practices.
- Performance & Impact Analysis:
- Assess training effectiveness and measure impact on performance and engagement.
- Leverage data to improve learning initiatives and address skill gaps.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong partnerships across departments to support institutional goals.
- Work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
- Provide guidance and learning solutions that align with the universitys strategic vision.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Organizational Development Education Business Administration or related field.
- 3 years of experience in learning and development training facilitation instructional design or talent development.
- Strong ability to work independently and take ownership of training programs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build partnerships with all levels of staff.
- Experience developing and delivering customized strategic learning programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles instructional design and training technologies.
- Proficiency with LMS (Learning Management Systems) elearning platforms and content development tools.
Preferred:
- Masters degree in a related field.
- Experience working in higher education or a public sector environment.
- Certification in CPTM CPLP ATD or related learning and development programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess training effectiveness.
