Job Description

Our client is the foremost luxury goods company in Nigeria with a diversified portfolio that comprises over 13 of the worlds most prestigious luxury brands. They are looking to fill the role of a Head of Watches and Jewellery (Expatriate)

Job Summary
They are seeking an experienced and stylish leader to head our Watches and Jewellery department. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales developing business strategies and overseeing the overall direction of the department. This is an exciting opportunity for a fashionforward professional to lead a team and shape the future of our luxury watches and jewellery offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan develop and implement sales strategies in Nigeria to achieve the designated brands objectives with a view to achieving the desired sales results / budgeted targets in coordination with the respective Channel Sales Managers.
  • Overall coordination with the ED to plan & execute all sales and ordering related procedures.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly sales stocks and customer performance to management.
  • Preparing order studies in line with forecasted sales by sales channels.
  • Inventory management in line with budgeted figures.
  • Proactive input to all sales channels monitor sales for assigned areas and propose recommendations to the concerned Channel Sales Manager.
  • Coordinate on daily basis with the Marketing Manager and pass on all necessary information so that proper marketing & promotional campaigns can be developed under the responsibility of the Marketing Manager.
  • Recommend the wholesales & retail prices for the designated brands/products as per market requirements so that the products can be sold in presence of the competitors in Nigeria/Africa well as aid in achieving value and margin targets.
  • Ensure proper visual merchandising in line with principals corporate guidelines and identity.
  • Conducting feasibility study for new brands which may be added to portfolio.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive sales growth increase profitability and enhance customer experience.
  • Lead motivate and develop a highperforming team of sales professionals providing guidance coaching and training as needed.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to select and procure luxury watches and jewellery that meet customer demands and drive sales.
  • Develop and implement visually appealing store displays and layouts to showcase our luxury watches and jewellery collections.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers ensuring exceptional service and building brand loyalty.
  • Oversee inventory management including stock levels product rotation and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns events and activities that drive sales and increase brand awareness.
  • Analyze sales data customer feedback and market trends to inform business decisions and optimize department performance.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum of first degree in Marketing Business Administration Humanities or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years plus managing a team in luxury watches and retail business.
  • Experience in sales and progression through the ranks. Proven ability to lead and motivate highperforming teams.
  • Knowledge of gold jewellery gemstones and watches. Strong understanding of luxury watches and jewellery including market trends product knowledge and industry developments.
  • Familiarity with various luxury brands and products.
  • Experience managing boutiques and businesses in Nigeria or internationally.
  • A passion for luxury and lifestyle.
  • A background in watch or gemology studies would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Ability to analyze sales data customer feedback and market trends to inform business decisions.
