CRD Careers has partnered with a leader in the building materials industry in their search for a proactive and detailoriented Purchasing Assistant to support their fastpaced procurement team in Yonkers NY.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily purchasing operations including order entry invoice processing and supplier communication
Maintain accurate inventory records and manage product data in procurement systems
Track shipments follow up with vendors and resolve delivery or quality issues
Support vendor onboarding and maintain supplier compliance documentation
Collaborate with warehouse accounting and project teams to ensure smooth operations
Generate reports and assist with cost analysis and product forecasting
2 years of experience in purchasing procurement or supply chain coordination
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and purchasing/inventory systems
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadlinedriven environment
Experience in construction building materials or manufacturing industries is a plus

Education
Requirements & Competencies: At least 1 year of purchasing experience. Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across various departments. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Highly organized, trustworthy, and able to prioritize tasks effectively. Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods and work overtime as needed.
