Job Description
We are currently looking for a HSE Manager in the framework of a Data Center construction project.
The HSE Manager will be responsible for the strategic development implementation and management of the HSE program on this major data center construction site. This role requires a proactive and strategicallyminded leader with a strong understanding of construction HSE best practices local regulations and a proven ability to foster a strong safety culture and manage an HSE team. The HSE Manager will lead and mentor a team of HSE Supervisors working closely with the Project Management Consultant (PMC) contractors and the clients HSE team to ensure the wellbeing of all personnel and the environmental integrity of the project.
The key roles and responsibilities are:
- Safety Management:
- Prioritizing the health and safety of all personnel on the construction site enforcing strict adherence to HSE program as well as the local regulations.
- Conducting regular safety inspections identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Being responsible for HSE implementation on site with the Contractors and with the support of the HSE team.
- Being SWA (Stop Work Authority) if works not carried out as per HSE and Quality requirements..
- Developing and Implementing HSE Policies and Procedures:
- Creating and updating HSE policies procedures and guidelines. Ensuring these align with Owner requirements legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Communicating these policies effectively to PMC and Contractors teams.
- Monitoring and reporting the sites.
- Support the package leads.
- Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification:
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Performing risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and severity of potential incidents.
- Implementing control measures to mitigate identified risks.
- Review and approve the RAM s on HSE aspect.
- Training and Communication:
- Developing and delivering HSE training programs for employees.
- Promoting HSE awareness through various communication channels.
- Encouraging employee participation in HSE initiatives.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting:
- Investigating accidents near misses and other incidents to determine root causes.
- Implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintaining accurate records of incidents and investigation findings.
- Report to Project Leader and client.
- Environmental Management:
- Identifying and managing environmental aspects and impacts.
- Implementing programs to reduce waste conserve energy and prevent pollution.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Emergency Response:
- Developing and implementing emergency response plans.
- Conducting drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.
- Coordinating emergency response activities in the event of an incident.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience in a dedicated HSE management role within largescale construction projects preferably within the data center or similar highhazard industries including experience leading and managing EHS teams.
- Fluent english
