Job Description
About the Role:
This is an Australiabased project offering the perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain international exposure and build a strong career foundation in engineering.
Scope of Work:
Engineering & Design (D&C Focus)
Develop electrical designs from concept to completion for D&C projects including power distribution lighting and related services.
Produce functional layouts equipment selections and compliance documentation in line with client requirements NCC BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
Collaborate with drafts people or external consultants to finalise coordinated shop drawings.
Participate in early contractor involvement (ECI) and design development meetings with builders consultants and stakeholders.
Identify design risks and opportunities to optimise constructability energy efficiency and lifecycle cost performance.
Estimation & Tendering
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical services including labour materials equipment and subcontractor pricing.
Conduct quantity takeoffs and interpret design documentation to develop pricing breakdowns.
Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate returned quotes for accuracy and scope compliance.
Prepare and submit tender documents including scope clarifications exclusions and compliance matrices.
Participate in tender review meetings and handover to project delivery teams upon successful bids.
Project Support
Assist project managers during the design finalisation and construction phases including value engineering and change order assessments.
Provide ongoing technical support and advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Support commissioning documentation and asbuilt processes when required.
Desirable Attributes:
Experience in both construction and servicebased electrical works.
Ability to manage multiple tenders or projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
