Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking two Graduate Academic Services Coordinators Boca Raton FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Manage the processing of all incoming graduate student applications including admissions for Study Group students. Maintain uptodate graduate student files and databases.
Act as the preliminary reviewer for graduate students online Plans of Study (POS) ensuring compliance with degree requirements. Collaborate with the Registrars Office to address course applicability and registration audits.
Serve as the preliminary program advisor for all incoming graduate students guiding them through program requirements and assisting with their forms and processes required for their progression in the degree program.
Handle inquiries from prospective graduate students regarding admission criteria application status required documents and general academic questions.
Act as a liaison between graduate students and faculty coordinating resources workshops and academic support services. Assist in implementing program policies and ensuring alignment with curriculum changes.
Coordinate registration processes for Directed Independent Study Masters Thesis Dissertation and other restricted courses.
Order textbooks for all departmental courses.
Coordinate the graduation process for graduate students from initial contact to certification. Facilitate orientations and workshops to support students transitions into and out of graduate study.
Provide data and statistical information for department projects and reports. Maintain accurate records of advising interactions and academic progress using appropriate systems.
Other jobrelated duties as assigned.
