The Department of Mathematics at the University of Mississippi invites applications for a permanent position at the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor beginning in August 2025. This is a nontenuretrack position with a promotional ladder leading to the rank of Instructional Professor. The successful applicant will be expected to teach four courses per semester. These will be primarily calculus with occasional upperdivision undergraduate courses some of which may be taught in an online format. While this is primarily an instructional position the successful candidate is expected to contribute to and participate in the life and development of the department. This may include participating in research activities advising undergraduate students serving on academic committees and participating in recruiting and orientation events.

A PhD in Mathematics Statistics or a related field earned no later than August 15 2025 is required. Competitive candidates will have demonstrated teaching ability strong interpersonal and communication skills and an energetic commitment to undergraduate education.
