Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an exceptionally skilled Lead Facilities and EHS Coordinator to join our team and make a significant impact. This role is crucial in ensuring the flawless operation of our facilities and maintaining our worldclass safety standards.
Coordinate daily operations system checks and PM scheduling to ensure efficient performance of utility equipment.
Develop and implement strategies to systematically control and reduce site safety hazards and environmental impacts.
Ensure strict regulatory compliance across multiple agency permits.
Conduct evacuation drills and provide incident command during site emergencies.
Foster a safetyfirst culture through collaboration and innovation with site leadership.
Perform emergency repairs and participate in a 24/7 oncall maintenance support program.
Manage documentation and communication of work order status to internal customers.
Coordinate with external contractors for services and projects ensuring timely and successful implementation.
Manage and troubleshoot refrigeration equipment ensuring flawless operation.
Education:
Associate degree or equivalent Professional Certifications CFC CSP CIH with High school diploma.
Consideration may be given to those who hold 8 years of dynamically responsible and relevant work experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a large plant/building environment.
Proven experience in Facilities/Building Management particularly in the Science/Bio Tech sector.
Handson experience with equipment monitoring systems like BAS or BMS.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Proficiency in various computer applications and a strong understanding of EHS regulations.
Knowledge of federal state and local EHS regulations including OSHA CalOSHA EPA or be willing to take steps to gain required knowledge
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical plumbing HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
A teamoriented approach dedicated to quality and ongoing learning.
Valid drivers license required.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103100.00$154700.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
