We are looking for someone who is:
  • Organized. You will maintain accurate records.
  • Observant. You will make accurate observations of test results.
  • Knowledgeable. You will know the accepted practices of standard records maintenance.

What you will typically be responsible for:
  • Schedule preventative maintenance for all instruments.
  • Evaluate specimens microscopically for aberrant and atypical cellular features.
  • Perform various Anatomic Pathology procedures and resulting patient samples in Laboratory information systems.
  • Revise cytopathology manuals and procedures.
  • Collect data for cytology quality control and maintaining quality assurance records.
  • Provide interpretation for gynecologic and nongynecological specimens.
  • Perform molecular testing for Human Papillomavirus.

Minimum Qualifications

License Required:Possession of a valid License as a Cytotechnologist issued by the State of California Department of Health.

Experience:Three 3 years of fulltime or its equivalent experience in a laboratory performing cytologic tests and analysis.

Selection Process

2. Training and Experience Evaluation: Candidates who clearly demonstrate that they possess the minimum qualifications will have their training and experience evaluated. The responses to the supplemental questions at the time of filing will be evaluated to determine each candidates relevant education training and/or experience as presented on the application and supplemental questionnaire.
