The Contra Costa Health Department is recruiting individuals to fill one 1 Senior Cytotechnologist position located in the Clinical Laboratory Unit at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) located in Martinez CA.

We are looking for someone who is:- Organized. You will maintain accurate records.
- Observant. You will make accurate observations of test results.
- Knowledgeable. You will know the accepted practices of standard records maintenance.
- Communicative. You will convey information both written and orally.
What you will typically be responsible for:- Schedule preventative maintenance for all instruments.
- Evaluate specimens microscopically for aberrant and atypical cellular features.
- Perform various Anatomic Pathology procedures and resulting patient samples in Laboratory information systems.
- Revise cytopathology manuals and procedures.
- Collect data for cytology quality control and maintaining quality assurance records.
- Provide interpretation for gynecologic and nongynecological specimens.
- Perform molecular testing for Human Papillomavirus.

License Required:Possession of a valid License as a Cytotechnologist issued by the State of California Department of Health.
Experience:Three 3 years of fulltime or its equivalent experience in a laboratory performing cytologic tests and analysis.Selection Process
