The Laboratory Associate serves as primary point of contact for healthcare providers patients and internal departments regarding laboratory testing. The Laboratory Associate manages test cancellations and problem resolution by working directly within the lab to correct errors and ensure accurate reporting. The LA professionally communicates technical information to medical and lay persons assists with training laboratory personnel in routine procedures participates in continuing education recognizes normal and abnormal values complies with all safety guidelines and models Standards of Behavior in daily interactions and activities.Entity

Additional Job Description
Required Licensure Certifications Registrations:
Doctorate or Masters degree in chemical physical or biological sciences including:
o 24 semester hours of science courses that include:
Six semester hours of chemistry
Six semester hours of biology
12 semester hours of any combination of chemical or biological sciences
