Details:

Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International Inc. (ATL) has partnered with Navarro Research and Engineering Inc. to form Hanford Laboratories and Management Integration (HLMI). We are seeking applicants for a Scientist/Radiochemist at the 222S Laboratory a DOE laboratory supporting the Hanford Site cleanup mission located in the 200West Area. There is an allowance for qualified relocation expenses.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical data reviews and prepare project summary reports.
  • Ensure operational status of analytical equipment by maintaining calibrations and troubleshooting instrument malfunctions and data quality issues.
  • Develop new methods and conducting method qualification studies.
  • Participate in interlaboratory proficiency study programs audits and assessments to maintain method accreditation.
  • Providedaily workdirection and training to chemical technologists.
  • Operate under strict deadlines. Plan organize and manage activities in assigned areas to meet Laboratory and client schedules.
  • Author and perform reviews and systematic process improvements for assigned methods procedures and test plans.
  • Commitment to analytical excellence and unwavering ethics.


Details:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree (BS) in Chemistry or related scientific discipline or engineering degree and 7 years related experience.
  • Knowledgeable of laboratory analytical methods.
  • Exhibit strong writing skills.

Preferred:

  • 10 or more years of radiochemical separations and/or nuclear counting equipment operation experience
  • Demonstrated scientific communication skills and knowledge of laboratory operations and quality assurance practices
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office programs (particularly Word and Excel).

  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements US citizenship is required.
