Title: GA Teaching Introduction to Social Work Fall 2025/Spring 2026

The majority of the graduate teaching assistants primary duties are in support of instruction including but not limited to the responsibilities below:
1. Serve as a primary or secondary teaching instructor in a class or laboratory
2. Assist a faculty member with teachingrelated tasks
3. Grade student assignments which require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or
laboratory
4. Meet with and/or tutor students hold office hours prepare instructional materials and assist
during class and/or lab etc. For this position Teaching Assistant will assist with one section of SWK 170: Introduction to Social Work
$755/month
1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at
2. Applicants must already be a MSW degree seeking student in the School of Social Work at Illinois State University.
3. For Teaching Assistant positions State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
4. Strong organization writing and communication skills.
122pm Tuesdays & Thursdays (SWK 170 is 12:351:50pm Tuesdays & Thursdays)
