Our Sales team in EMEA is a driven and collegiate team of 20 Account managers and hunters and we work closely with the 300 researchers 30 product management team and 40 Consultants in ECR to add value to our customers strategic planning processes.
Duties and Responsibilities Your Role
You will be a key member of the IHS Markit GIA Sales team in Europe. Reporting to the Head of Europe GIA Account Management you will nurture existing relationships to drive retention and new opportunities within the existing client base.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and nurturing an extensive existing book of business with some of the largest corporate entities in the Europe region
Meeting or exceeding monthly/quarterly Account Management goals and driving the retention of existing business through consistent engagement with your clients to understand their current and ever evolving needs.
Consistently and effectively improving engagement and overall client experience with the economics and country risk deliverables and team
Identifying new business opportunities within the existing portfolio handing them to the New Business team and ensuring those leads are optimally ran.
Providing timely and accurate insight to your pipeline leading to accurate forecasts
Representing and promoting the company and business line to senior executives both internally and externally
Developing a strong understanding of the value proposition for our offerings as it relates to your portfolio of clients.
Job Requirements About You
You are a confident resultsdriven sales professional who has the confidence to represent and promote S&P Global and GIA solutions in innovative and creative ways to clients.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
10 years of sales experience. This should include experience of working in a strategic account management role or a complex business development role.
Proven track record of selling complex highvalue solutions involving multiple stakeholders
Ability to inform and execute client specific engagement and retention strategies to ensure identification of both risks and opportunities in accounts
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to client needs
Proven excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective internal and external relationships
Experience selling information services (research data consulting)
Willingness to travel up to 25 in order to conduct face to face meetings or attend industry conferences
Bachelors degree minimum
Strong client base and broad product line
On target commission plan with uncapped earnings potential
Excellent team culture within core Sales team but also wider commercial and research groups
